China House is a traditional compound of 3 heritage buildings, the entrance located at Beach Street while the exit is at Lebuh Victoria, so you can imagine that the length of the shop actually cross over a street. The owner make good use of the interior structure by converted into 14 spaces comprising shops, cafes, restaurant, galleries, live music and bakery. The significant dessert in China House is the cakes where they baked 30 different cakes every day. They have a gallery on second floor, you should visit the gallery when you go to China House.

2. Daiichi Art Space

The founder of Daiichi Art Space established the first modern art gallery at Kedah in 1988. The second art gallery in Penang has a collection of classic and contemporary artworks from Malaysia, China and Southern Asia, it even acknowledge as the largest private art collector in Northern Region of Malaysia. Other than exhibition, they also organize forums, seminars and activities to promote art and culture.

3. Hin Bus Depot Gallery

Hin Bus Depot as the most artistic place in Penang, they provide open space for artists to exhibit their unique art pieces. Their open space is the canvas on which artists may express themselves in millions of ways and it can easily be configured for any setting. Furthermore, the yellowish and mottled wall adds the finishing touch on the artworks. The Lithuanian Artist Ernest Zacharevic, who famed for his murals in Georgetown had organized an exhibition titled “Art is Rubbish, Rubbish is Art” in Hin Bus Depot in 2014 and this exhibition has successfully introduce Hin Bus Depot to the public. Ming Fine Art established in 2015 and it is located at Marina Mall, Straits Quay Penang. They promote and showcase the work of both local and international artists including drawing, painting, sculpture, porcelain and crystal deco. You cannot ignore the art gallery when you pass by as you will attract by all the art pieces. In future, the gallery plan to host more exhibitions, programs and events that help bring the general public closer to the wonderful world of art.

Raymond Gallery start to operate not long ago and the purpose to establish an art gallery is to provide a platform for talented young artists to showcase their artworks and gain recognition from the public. What makes Raymond Gallery different from the others is, it is a virtual and digital art gallery. They collect artworks from local artists and upload it to the website, turn the website into a huge hub with various art pieces.
